Need to Know Information
We are going to do everything we can to make your trip a great experience!

To get to the boat, you can search for "Ramp 4, Homer" in your favorite mapping app, for directions to the parking area. As long as you park in gravel, you will not have to pay to park. If you park in a paved lot, you need to pay. The boat is in Slip L13. Go down ramp 4, take a right and then your second left down L float to slip L13.
Here is some information that will help you plan for the day:
1. Everyone 16 years of age and up for Non Residents, and 18 years of age and up for Residents, needs a sport fishing license. Have your license start time begin no later than 5AM of the day of your trip. Make sure it covers the entire duration of your trip if you are fishing multiple days. If you have booked a trip with salmon on the menu, you will also need a king salmon stamp. Same age rules apply to king stamps. These can be purchased at many retailers throughout Alaska, and online here,
https://store.adfg.alaska.gov/
The preferred option for licensing is to download the ADF&G app to your smartphone and purchase the license/stamp through the app. This makes integration with our electronic logbooks easy and recording your harvest simple as well.

2. The temperature out on the water will range from the low 40’s to mid 50’s. Dress in layers and wear everything you think you’ll need to the boat in the morning. I highly recommend rain gear, if for nothing else, to use as a windbreaker.
3. You will need to bring everything you want to eat and drink for the day. Consolidate your group's gear into 1 or 2 bags, people tend to overpack. This will help to alleviate clutter on the boat. No Coolers (especially foam) or Ice Chests please, small soft sides are okay.
4. Our insurance policy does not allow for the consumption of alcohol on the boat. Sorry for the inconvenience. The US Coast Guard regulates commerce on the high seas and that means no illegal drugs allowed on board as well, including marijuana in any form.
5. Last of the buzzkills – NO SMOKING on board, no exceptions.
6. If there’s any question in your mind about seasickness, take something for it before you get on the boat. If you wait until you’re on the boat, it will be too late.
7. Fish Processing – Your fish will be filleted before you get off the boat. Of course you are welcome to take it and further process it yourself. Most people typically have a fish processing company break it down into portions, flash freeze and vacuum seal. There are 2 companies in Homer you can take your fish to, Coal Point and Homer Fish Processing. Homer Fish Processing will meet us at the boat when we return and pick your fish up. We also work with a fish processor in Anchor Point, Natures Ventures. We will deliver your fish to them on our way home if you like. These services are paid for outside of the charter.

If you have any other questions please reach out to us and we’ll get you the information you need. Captain Karl will call you the night before your charter to check in. Departure time will be confirmed during this conversation and may range from 6AM-7AM depending on the tides and the type of trip booked in order to maximize our fishing time.
